Mysterious and eye-catching, tiger eye gemstones are quartz crystals with a silky luster and wonderful bands of yellow-golden color. It displays a curious optical effect in which a band of light is reflected like light bouncing back from a cat's eye. This phenomenon is called chatoyance (cat's-eye) - see it as you move it back and forth in the light.
Here, I've combined the beads with sterling silver spacers for a bohemian look, and added a sterling silver chain that allows you to secure it between 15.5 and 22 inches.
