This shimmering statement necklace has been made from large golden brown keshi pearls strung to enhance their unique shapes. I've selected golden brown pearls that shimmer with overtones of forest green - the sensuous feast of colors vary from soft milk chocolate to deep cocoa, to cinnamon, to copper and bronze, and to various shades of green.
The term “keshi” is used in relation to the structure and formation of the pearl. It defines pearls with irregular shapes (baroque pearls) that are formed as a change during their growth resulting in the lack of a nucleus - a pearl that is all nacre and highly iridescent. This type of pearl has also been called cornflake, dragonskin, petal, or poppy pearl - all to denote their special organic look.
DimensionsThis necklace is 24 inches long with 10 inches of keshi pearls and approximately 7 inches of gold-filled chain on each side. It is secured with a lobster claw clasp. (Note that I can cut the chain to a shorter length if you prefer the pearls close to your neck. Please make this request when you order.)
